Willie "Roy" Wright, 81, of Marseilles, passed away Wednesday, May 23, 2018 at his home.

Memorial services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, May 26 at Parkview Baptist Church with Rev. John Patterson officiating. Military honors will follow services at the church.  Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the church. Burial will be in Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery at a later date.  Seals-Campbell Funeral Home in Marseilles is handling the arrangements.

He was born May 28, 1936 in Germantown, TN to Robert and Irene (Ford) Wright.  On June 20, 1959, he married Betty Morris of Channahon who survives.

Roy was a member of Parkview Baptist Church. He served in the Army. He was a member of IBEW and worked as an electrical worker until his retirement.

He is survived by his wife, Betty; two daughters, Susan (David) Wright-Slafer of Marseilles and Tina (Jay) Stachowiak of Peru; one son, Michael (Wanda) Wright of Marseilles; nine grandchildren, Danielle, Michelle, Ricky, Brandon, Jennifer, Kyle, Nathaniel, Nathan and Angela; 19 great-grandchildren; and one sister, Patricia (Ray) Martin of Earl, Ark.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one grandson, Donald James Baker; one brother, Buddy Wright; and one sister, Virginia Mae Wright.

Memorials may be given to Parkview Baptist Church in Marseilles.
