William A. "Loui" Lewis, Jr., 75, of Seneca, passed away Friday, January 10, 2020 at his home.

Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. on Tuesday, January 14, 2020 at Seals-Campbell Funeral Home in Marseilles. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, January 15 at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with Deacon Ron Wackerlin of St. Joseph's Catholic Church officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Seneca.

William was born May 28, 1944 in El Paso, TX to William A. and Ester (Gonzales) Lewis.  In 1964, he married Sharon K. Vasquez of LaSalle, who survives.

He was employed as a welder at Caterpillar for thirty-seven years until his retirement. He was a strong union brother and member of Local 145 UAW. In his retirement, he worked for Alloy Specialties in Ransom for many years. Bill enjoyed spending time in his shop, welding and fabricating, and he could fix just about anything. One of his biggest passions was fishing. Bill and his son, Tim, competed in many bass tournaments. He was famous for his breakfasts that he enjoyed cooking for his family.

Bill is survived by his wife, Sharon; three sons, Tim (Angie) of Ransom, Bill (Wendy) of Peoria, and Steve (Lucy) of Minooka; his five grandchildren, Jacob, Kathleen, Sarah, Matthew, and Madison; two brothers, Charles W. Lewis and David R. Lewis, both of Ottawa; and his beloved dog, Cricket.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, John Edward Lewis; and two sisters, Mary Ellen Beck and Elizabeth Corrine Lewis.

Memorials may be given to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
