William Pitsenbarger Jr., 91, of Marseilles, passed away Friday, November 17, 2017 at Ottawa Pavilion.
Funeral services will be private at Seals-Campbell Funeral Home with Reverend Kihwan Choi of the Marseilles United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be at Riverview Cemetery in Marseilles. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
William was born October 2, 1926 in Streator, to William Sr. and Janette (Ruth) Pitsenbarger. On August 26, 1949, he married June Morello of Marseilles who preceded him in death in 1999.
He was a farmer in Brookfield Twp. William was employed by DuPont, Nabisco and Laborers Local 393. He also owned and operated Marseilles Marina, was co-owner of June's Clothing Store with his wife, and owner and breeder of Standard Bred Race Horses.
William is survived by one daughter, Patty (Craig) Collier of Marseilles; two sons, William C. of Spring Valley and Jerry (Jenè) of Ottawa; eight grandchildren, Tony, Philip, Brandy, Korby, Lindsey, Jared, Shannon, and Jesse; four great-grandchildren, Caleb, Diego, Zach, and Hunter; and one sister, Nancy Seaborn of Marseilles.
He was preceded in death by his wife, June, one brother in infancy, and his brother-in-law, Jack Seaborn.
