Wayne L. Hetelle, 84, of Lady Lake, FL, formerly of Marseilles, passed away Sunday, July 15 surrounded by his family.

Memorial visitation will be from 10-11 a.m. Saturday, July 28, at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Seneca. Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. with Rev. Kris Zierke officiating. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery in Marseilles at a later date.

He was born on February 9, 1934, in Marseilles to Selmer and Fern (Serby) Hetelle. In 1953, he married Reita Hogan of Marseilles who preceded him in death in 2016.

He was employed by Nabisco until his retirement. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed sports, especially the Chicago Cubs. Wayne loved spending time with his family and friends.

Wayne is survived by one daughter, Sharon (Dale) Johnson of Ransom; three sons, David (Cathy A.) of Ottawa, Craig (Suzanne) of Seneca, and Wayne "Gene" (Barb) of Pontiac; thirteen grandchildren, Christopher Hetelle, Marcia Shields, Mathew and Martin Hetelle, Angela Bayley, Keith Johnson, Kristen Scheuer, Michael Johnson, Jason and Jeff Hetelle, Katie Bonn, and Kimberly and Joel Hetelle; and seventeen great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife; his parents; and one son, William Hetelle.

Memorials may be directed to the charity of the donor's choice.
