Wade Bradley Close, 48, of Bobtown, PA, formerly of Marseilles, passed away Thursday, January 18, 2018 at his home.

Funeral Services will be at 7 p.m. Wednesday January 24, at Seals-Campbell Funeral Home in Marseilles. Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Riverview cemetery in Marseilles at a later date.

Wade was born July 8, 1969 in Ottawa, to Robert and Debbie (Eldervog) Close.

He was employed by Long View Power as an operator at the power plant. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, woodworking and spending time with his family and friends. Wade was a good brother and son.

Wade is survived by his father, Robert (Linda) Close of Ottawa; his mother, Debbie Campbell of Marseilles; two sisters, Amanda (Dave) Shields of Marseilles and Becky Gockel of Edwardsville; three brothers, Cass (Allison) Close of Elkview, WV, Josh Rieuf of Grand Ledge, MI, and Mike Carpenter of Ottawa; two aunts, Tammy (Rocky) Raikes and Pam Johnson; and three uncles, Ward (Beverly) Close, Gary (Peggy) Close, and Larry (Stephanie) Close.

He was preceded in death by his Grandparents, Albert and Beatrice Close and Ward and Lucille Eldervog, and his step-father, Robert Campbell.
