Valerie K. Pouk, 62, of Ottawa, passed away on September 21, 2022 at Aperion Care Center in Marseilles of end-stage (stage 4) COPD, in the comfort of Hospice and her Lord and Savior.

Valerie was born on August 30, 1960, in Fall River, MA, to Robert Lee and Lucile Marie (Gavin) Hutch. She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Cheryl L Robinson; as well as many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

She is survived by her husband of 25 years, Dale Pouk of Streator, IL; her daughters, Andriea Hutch, Samantha Pouk, and Rachael Pouk; her grandchildren, Axel Kenneth Stolz, Liliana Lynn Hughes, and Walter Aaron Weitzel; her step-children; step-grandchildren; one sister, Robin L Hutch Menna; two brothers, Gavin Robert Hutch, and Nelson Ernest Hutch; and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

Valerie worked as a customer service representative for many years before retiring.

She loved traveling, the beach, movies, music, gatherings and amusing her friends and family with laughter and love.

She lived each and every day to the fullest, living by example as a Christian woman, always doing what she could do for others.

A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday, October 9, 2022 at Central Church of Christ, 2001 E. Main St., Streator, IL. A celebration of Valerie's life will follow with dinner for friends and family until 3 p.m.
