Timothy J. "Sleepy" Moore Sr., 69, of Marseilles, passed away Monday January 2, 2017 at his home surrounded by his family and friends.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Friday, January 6, at Seals-Campbell Funeral Home with Rev. Duane Kaufman officiating. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery in Marseilles.
Tim was born November 3, 1947 in Ottawa to Andrew and Dorothy (Link) Moore.
He was a Volunteer Fireman with the Marseilles Fire Protection District for 25 years until his retirement. He owned and operated his own truck for more than 45 years. He was a real truck driver, not just a man who drove a truck.
Tim is survived by three sons, T. J. (Loni) of Ottawa, Tom (Shelly) of Marseilles, and Teddy (Elaine) of Ottawa; four grandchildren, Bryson, Brittany, Andrew and Candice; his father, Andy of Marseilles; two sisters, Judy Oakes of Marseilles and Kathy (Darrell) Hovious of Marseilles; one brother, David (Peg) Moore of Ottawa; and his dear friend, Pat Marlatt of Marseilles.
He was preceded in death by his mother and his grandma, Martha Link.
Pallbearers will be Bob Scutt, Jerry Stevenson, Howard Spicer, Al Moore, Andrew Goodbred, Bryson Moore and Bill Tan.
