Tammy Sue Schanks, 55, of Marseilles, passed away on Wednesday, December 10, 2025, at her home.

Visitation will be from 3 to 5 p.m. Monday, December 15 at Seals-Campbell Funeral Home with services following at 5 p.m. with Michael Scheib officiating. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery at a later date.

Tammy was born on February 25, 1970, in Ottawa, IL, to Donald and LoLynn (Smith) Schanks.

She worked in the real estate field as a realtor and then as a property manager of over 200 units in Westmont for many years. She then transitioned into the commercial financing industry, eventually owning and operating United Financial Advisors, working on many large commercial deals. Tammy was always there for her customers, night or day. She enjoyed traveling with her family and loved her 21-year-old cat, Kia.

She is survived by her father, Donald; her sister, Donna Schanks; a nephew, Jared Schanks; her aunt, Shirley Partridge; and her cousins, Kim, Bill, and Terry Partridge, John "Bud", Jerry, Michael, and Laurie Hicks, and Robert "Bobby" Carlson.

Tammy is preceded in death by her mother, LoLynn; her aunt, Hilda Hicks; her uncle, Danny Partridge; and her step-mother, Rita O'Neal.
