Susan Jane Janke, 72, of Seneca, passed away Thursday, July 13, 2023 at Morris Hospital.

Visitation will be from 9 to 11 a.m. Monday, July 17 at Seals-Campbell Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday following visitation at the funeral home with Rev. Cherie Quillman officiating. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery in Marseilles.

She was born January 27, 1951, in Ottawa, Eugene and Gertrude (Angel) Vezain. On June 30, 1973, she married Edwin Duane Janke of Ottawa who preceded her in death in 2020.

Sue was employed by Walmart for thirty-eight years until her retirement. She was a member of Seneca Methodist Church, where she taught Sunday school for many years. She was a member of the Morris Cruisers and enjoyed attending and participating in car shows. She enjoyed fishing, knitting, camping, the outdoors, and spending time with her family.

She is survived by her two sons, Eric (Sabrina) Janke of Marseilles and Phil Janke of Seneca; one grandson, Ian; and one sister, Kathy (Ken) Vezain-Weber.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ed; her parents; one brother, Robert Vezain; and one sister, Patricia Scerini.
