Steven Hermann, 68, of Marseilles, passed away Sunday, November 3, 2019.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Seals-Campbell Funeral Home is handling arrangements.

He was born May 19, 1951, in Ottawa, to Daryl and Olive (Jett) Hermann.  He was a graduate of Ottawa Township High School, class of 1969. He was a retired laborer and was a member of Local 582 and 393.

Steve was a man of many hobbies. In nice weather, you would find him outside fishing, hunting, or just on the river. He gave himself the nickname "river rat". He enjoyed listening to and playing Bluegrass Music. During winter months, he would travel to Arizona, prospecting for gold. He never did find that big nugget!

Survivors include his brother, Ronald (Kathy); nephews, Justin, Gunnar, and Max; a niece, Heather; the love of his life and fiancé, Helen (Davis) Sharp; and his blended family; daughters, Denise (Brad) Davis and Theresa (Jimmy) Orvis; grandchildren, Brianna, Joseph, James, Brittany, Mavrick, and Tiffany; and great-grandchildren, Bradley, Penny, and Amethyst.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Marvin.
