Obituary

In loving memory of "Sid" Sidney Allen Schiltz

"Sid" Sidney Allen Schiltz, 42, of Sheridan, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Thursday, July 17, 2025.

Private funeral services will be held with Pastor Kevin Garner of Fox River Lutheran Church officiating. Seals-Campbell Funeral Home is entrusted with arrangements.

Sid was born on July 7, 1983, in Aurora, IL the son of Timothy Dale Schiltz and Lesa (King) Ross.

Sid was a loving father, hilarious brother, and an amazing "Pop-Pop". He was the kind of guy you could not help but remember and could light up a room just by walking in.

Sid was the definition of a hard worker. Loving working with hands, he was a true master carpenter and proud of what he built. He was always willing to help someone else out. His passions included riding motorcycles, the outdoors, and overall, just being free.

He is survived by his mother, Lesa Ross; his three children, Kyler (Lajaia Graham) Schiltz, Paislee Schiltz, and Teegan Schiltz; his grandson, Elias Schiltz, and another grandchild soon to arrive; and his siblings, Gustin (Jeanna) Schiltz, Jessica (James) Todd, Ryan (Kristen) Olin, and Casey Wilborn.

He was preceded in death by his father, whom he now joins in peace.

Sid wasn't perfect, but he was real, raw, sometimes outrageous, hilarious, and always loyal. He had a heart bigger than he'd ever admit. He would want everyone reading this to stop being so serious, to find the fun in life, to take that trip, to make that joke, love your people loud, and never forget to just live.
