Shirley Ann Medler, 86, of Marseilles, passed away Wednesday, February 17, 2021, at her home.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Seals-Campbell Funeral Home is handling arrangements.

Shirley was born on October 2, 1934, in Fairfield, IL, to Robert and Gladys (Owens) Overbee. On October 28, 1951, she married Charles Ray Medler of Fairfield, IL, who preceded her in death in 2004.

She was a member of Marseilles First Baptist Church and taught Sunday School for many years. She enjoyed working in her yard and watching the birds.

Survivors include her children, Bill (Denise) Medler of Marseilles, Dennis (Cheryl Davidson) Medler of Ottawa, and Karen (Larry) Medler-Marco of Marseilles; six grandchildren, Eric (Rhonda Fox) Medler, Terry (Lance Moen) Medler, Kerri (Jeff) Johnson, Dan (Mandi) Medler, Josh (Cara) Marco, and Nathan (Kristin) Marco; and eight great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters, Ruth Vaughan and Roberta Shelton.
