Shirley F. Lettsome

Shirley F. Lettsome, 83, of Marseilles, passed away on Monday, July 27, 2026, at her home.

Funeral services were private with Fr. Nicholas Wilson officiating. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery at a later date. Seals-Campbell Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements and cremation rites.

Shirley was born on September 23, 1942, in Ottawa, IL, to Albert and Frances (Gretencord) Lettsome.

Shirley was a 1960 graduate of Marseilles High School and later attended Brown School of Business in Springfield. She was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Marseilles. She was employed at LaSalle County Assessment Office until her retirement.

Shirley loved spending time with her grandchildren, and she loved her family. She also enjoyed longtime neighbors, who became more like family and close friends, especially while sitting out and talking on her back patio. Shirley very rarely sat still, always working on her yard, or enjoying her long years of retirement while loving life. She also loved traveling, shopping, being surrounded by her three grandchildren, and her multiple pet dogs.

Shirley is survived by son, Steven Lettsome; her three grandchildren, Tristan, Payton, and Danika Lettsome; and her cousin, Barb Greeson.

She was preceded in death by her parents.
