Scott Vincent Teele, 59, of Chicago, formerly of Marseilles, passed away unexpectedly on October 30, 2023, at St. Francis Hospital in Evanston, IL.

A private family ceremony will be held Thanksgiving week. Seals-Campbell Funeral Home was entrusted with arrangements.

Scott was born on June 19, 1964, in Ottawa, IL, to Govanna (Pellegrini) and William Teele, and he was the last of the four Teele boys who all lived in Glenwood Addition in Marseilles. Scott attended the Marseilles Public School System including Washington School on Bluff Street. He worked for the City of Chicago as a cement finisher, and was a private driver for Uber.

Scott was a devoted brother and an avid traveler in his life having lived in Houston, TX and Fort Lauderdale, FL. He enjoyed everything Chicago and supported the Chicago Bulls, the Cubs, and the Bears. Scott had a kind heart and cared about the lives of other people. He volunteered at halfway houses, was a sponsor and dedicated leader at NA, and a life-long supporter of Feed the Children.

Scott is survived by his brothers, Mark Teele of Morris, IL and Terry Teele of Clearwater, FL and eight nieces and nephews.

He is predeceased by his parents, and his brother, John (William) Teele.

Scott, whose life was colored by difficulty, always did his best to see the good in people. He loved ice cream, fried chicken, and Bill Clinton.

He will be deeply missed by his friends, family, and all who knew him.
