William Scott Taylor, 66, of Marseilles, formerly of South Bend, IN, passed away on Wednesday, October 11, 2023, at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria.

Visitation will be from 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday, October 29 at Seals-Campbell Funeral Home. A prayer services will follow at 3 p.m. at the funeral home with Fr. Bo Schmitt officiating.

He was born on January 2, 1957, in Elkhart, IN, to William Edward and Myra Jean (Hennon) Taylor. On July 13, 1996, he married Dana Nolan of Joliet who survives.

Scott was employed as a community rehabilitation specialist at Logan Center working with developmentally disabled adults. He enjoyed the outdoors, hiking, his dogs, and being with his kids. He was a silly, funny, creative guy who treasured life.

He is survived by his wife Dana; his children, Emily (Thomas) Leischer and William Paul Taylor; his siblings, Jeri (David Moessenger) Taylor, Jay (Barbara) Taylor, and Leigh Taylor; many nieces and nephews; and his beloved in-laws.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
