Samuel Finis Bailey, Jr., 83, of Seneca, passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 1, 2022 at his home.

Visitation will be from 9 to 11:45 a.m. Saturday, May 7 at Seals-Campbell Funeral Home. Memorial services will be held at 11:45 a.m. on Saturday at the funeral home with Deacon Ron Wackerlin officiating.

Sam was born January 29, 1939, in Knifley, KY, to Samuel Finis Sr. and Gusta Mae (Pendleton) Bailey. On August 21, 1970, he married Patricia Brandow of Wedron.

He was a member of Laborers Local 393 until his retirement. He was an avid University of Kentucky Wildcats and Chicago Bears fan. He raced Standardbred horses for many years. Golfing and fishing with friends was a beloved past time.

Sam is survived by his wife, Pat; his children, Kevin Bailey of Serena, Derek (Carla) Bailey and Stacey Bailey, both of Seneca; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his son, Chad Bailey; his parents; and three sisters, Marjorie Callahan, Clarice Peck, and Ireda Roeder.
