Rose J. George, 94, of Marseilles, passed away Wednesday, September 4, 2019 at Ottawa Pavilion.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, September 7 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Marseilles with Father Walter Woamede Eteh officiating. Visitation will be from 9 to 11 a.m., prior to services Saturday at the church. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery in Marseilles. Seals-Campbell Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Rose was born January 30, 1925, in Marseilles, to August and Assunta (Malosti) Munari. In 1947, she married Charles J. George of Minooka who preceded her in death in 2003.

She was a member of the St. Joseph's Catholic Church and its Altar Rosary Society. Rose loved to play bingo and go square dancing. She was an Avon representative for fifty-four years. She was a vivid Cubs fan whose favorite player was #44, Anthony Rizzo.

Rose is survived by two daughters, Sharon Gualandi of LaSalle and Diane Siembab of Ottawa; one son, Harry George of MN; nine grandchildren, Jennifer Bauer, Thomas Gualandi, Jason, Chad, Lane, Katherine, Robert, Stephanie, and Joshua George; and many great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles; one granddaughter, Tara George; two sisters, Ava and Mary; three brothers, Angelo, Joseph, and Lou; and a daughter-in-law, Roxanne.

Pallbearers will be Tom Gualandi, Jason Quinn, Tom Gualandi Sr., Patrick Miller, Patrick Arkins, and Robbie Bauer.
