Roland C. Lowe, 81, of Sun City, AZ, formerly of Marseilles, IL passed away on Thursday, January 9, 2025 at Banner Boswell Medical Center in Sun City.

Roland was born on August 24, 1943, in Ottawa, IL, to Cleo and Dorothy (Schomas) Lowe. On September 10, 1966 he married Sandra Lynn Smith of Marseilles, who preceded him in death on November 7, 2007.

He was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Marseilles. Roland served in the U.S. Army Reserves.

Survivors include his son, RC (Pam) Lowe of Geneseo, IL; his daughter, Emily (Peter) Walsh of Richland Center, WI; three grandchildren, Mara (Christopher Rahn) Lowe, Darin Walsh, and Brad (Katie Sorensen) Walsh;  and a very special friend, Karen Young of Sun City, AZ; his three brothers, Donald (Joan) Lowe of New Smyrna Beach, FL, Gerald (Mary) Lowe of Seneca, IL, Jim (Sue) Lowe of Marseilles; his two sisters-in-law, Pat Applebee of Ottawa, and Linda (Lee) Ford of Smithfield, IL; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

Roland was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Sandy; his brothers-in-law, Robert and Howard Smith; and sister-in-law, Shirley Harbeck.

A private family funeral will be held at a later date. Seals-Campbell Funeral Home is assisting the family.
