Robert D. Jones, Sr., 86, of Marseilles, passed away Thursday, December 26, 2019.

Funeral services will be held 12 p.m. Monday, December 30 at Seals-Campbell Funeral Home with Rev. Duane Kaufman officiating. Visitation will be on Monday from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., prior to services at the funeral home. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery in Marseilles.

Bob was born on July 19, 1933, in Ottawa, to Charles and Willie (Bowen) Jones. In 1952, he married Marilyn Marcacci who preceded him in death in 1986.

Bob was employed by Libbey Owens Ford until his retirement.  He was an avid fisherman, boater, pilot, gardener and a wonderful cook. He was a member of the Marseilles Lions Club and Marseilles Boat Club.

Survivors include his son, Bob (Brenda) Jones Jr. of Marseilles; four grandchildren, Dustin, Blake, and Conner Jones and Carrie McDonald; and three great-grandchildren, Jordan and Jayden Robbins and Jasmine Hill.

He was preceded in death by wife, Marilyn; two daughters, Margret Ann Shephard and Carol Sue Jones McDonald; brothers, Wilbur "Whitey", Delbert, and Bernard Jones; and sisters, Kathryn Gilbertson and Irene Hubbard.

Memorials may be directed to the Marseilles Nursing Service.

Pallbearers will be Dustin, Blake, and Conner Jones, Jordan and Jayden Robbins, and Larry Walker.
