Robert N. Hamill, 89, of Marseilles, passed away Tuesday, March 16, 2021, at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria.

Funeral services will be private and there will be no visitation. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery in Marseilles. Arrangements are by Seals-Campbell Funeral Home in Marseilles.

Robert was born January 9, 1932, in Chicago, to William and Ethyl (Timmons) Hamill.  In 1953, he married Sally Beard of Ottawa who preceded him in death in 2017.

He served in the Army in the Korean War. He was employed by the Corps of Engineers until his retirement in 1987.

He is survived by his two daughters, Susan (Richard) Burton of Marseilles and Jannie (Raul) Vega of Chicago; one son, John (Cathy) Hamill of Oglesby; eight grandchildren; five great grandchildren; and his sister, Joyce Toussaint of Glen Carbon, IL.

He was preceded in death by his wife; his parents; and a sister, Judy Kerwell.

Memorials may be given to the Marseilles Nursing Service or the Illinois Veterans Home in LaSalle.
