Robert "Mr. Bob" Newkirk, 72, of Marseilles, passed away Monday, August 26, 2024, at the University Chicago Medical Center.

Memorial visitation will be held from 4 to 7 pm Friday, August 30, 2024, at Seals-Campbell Funeral Home in Marseilles. Memorial services will follow at 7 p.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Pamela Haug officiating.

Robert was born on December 1, 1951, in Beloit, WI, to Jack and Vera (Roberts) Newkirk.

He was employed as a diesel mechanic for Waste Management until his retirement. Mr. Bob could fix anything, and with a smile he would help anyone. He enjoyed fishing and loved his kids and grandchildren.

Mr. Bob is survived by his children, Robert Lee II (Martha) Newkirk and Brandy Crask; 4 grandchildren; Robert III, Brendan, and Brianna Newkirk, and Alexis Crask; his siblings, Jack Newkirk and Jill Weeden, both of Beloit, WI; and his devoted friends, Kathy Newkirk-Cook and Art Cook.

He was proceeded in death by his parents and a sister, Earleen Bell.
