Rex Owen Cain, 73, of Marseilles, went to be with his Lord on Wednesday, April 22, 2026, at his home.

Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, April 26 at Seals-Campbell Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at the funeral home at 4 p.m. with Pastor Troy Tvrdik officiating. Private burial will be in Riverview Cemetery in Marseilles.

Rex was born on October 10, 1952, in Burbank, IL, to Grover Lee and Belva (Heer) Cain.

Known for his humility, servant's heart, and gentle spirit, his legacy is one of selfless love. His passion was music and his most cherished moments were those spent with his sweetheart, Colleen, his daughters, and his grandchildren. He was a man whose life was a testament to the belief that greatness is found in kindness, encouragement and building up of others, and he will be deeply missed.

He is survived by his children, Rachel (Jacob) Frizsell and Rebecca Horton; six grandchildren, Caleb, Austin, Zoey, Izzy, Mary and Abby; his siblings, Roger Cain, Ella Mae Medlin, and Grover Cain; and many nieces and nephews.

Rex was preceded in death by his parents; his sweetheart, Colleen Pellegrini; two sisters, Ruby and Midge; and one brother, Ron.
