Raymond A. Janke, 59, of Marseilles, passed away Saturday, September 2, 2017 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, September 6 at Seals-Campbell Funeral Home in Marseilles with Rev. Duane Kaufman officiating. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery in Marseilles with Military Honors.


Ray was born April 26, 1958, in Ottawa, to Ora and Donna (Hayes) Janke. In 1983, he married Susan Heath of Marseilles who survives.

He served in the U.S. Navy. He was employed by Wedron Silica until his retirement. He was a member of the American Legion Post #235. He was an avid fan of the Chicago White Sox and the Chicago Bears.

Ray is survived by his wife, Susan; two daughters, Jamie (Vincent) Martinez of Braidwood and Rachel (Brandon) Villagomez of Ottawa; one son, Stacy (Jen) Ferguson of Minooka; ten grandchildren; his mother, Donna Husted of Spruce Pine, NC; four sisters, Dorothy Roberts and Carol Husted, both of Spruce Pine, NC, Lee Ann (Bob) Yates and Evelyn (Scott) Warner, both of Manistique, MI; and one brother, Kevin ((Michelle) Husted of Albuquerque, NM.

He was preceded in death by his father, Ora Janke and his step-father, Lee Husted.
