Phyllis Jean Lowery, 85, of Marseilles, passed away Monday, October 2, 2017 at Ottawa Pavilion, surrounded by her two daughters.
Funeral services will be held at noon on Friday, October 6, at Seals-Campbell Funeral Home with Reverend Anthony Ego officiating. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery in Marseilles at a later date.
Phyllis was born July 27, 1932, in Marseilles, to James and Rose (Faletto) Seibert. On September 30, 1960, she married Keith "Peanuts" Lowery of Marseilles, who preceded her in death in 2010.
She enjoyed bowling and spending time with her friends and family, and loved her little dog, Rascal.
Phyllis is survived by her daughters, Cathy Hougas Hetelle and Cheryl (Jim) O'Brien, both of Marseilles; four grandchildren, Tricia (Dave) Murray of Kissimmee, FL, Taryn O'Brien of Seneca, Jennifer (Luke) Hoyt of Marseilles, and Christopher Hetelle of Chicago; and three great-grandchildren, Tyler and Katelynn Ortiz, and Nick Murray.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Keith "Peanuts" Lowery; a son, David Hougas; a daughter, Pam Lowery in infancy; and a sister, Janice Spencer.
Memorials may be directed to Vitas Hospice.
Pallbearers will be Dave and Nick Murray, Luke Hoyt, Christopher Hetelle and Tyler Ortiz.
