Patricia A. Misener, 67, passed away on Sunday, January 5, 2025 at her home in Marseilles.

She was born on December 28, 1957, in Ottawa, to the late Joseph and Betty (Gage) Dunn. Patti grew up in Seneca and attended Seneca High School, graduating with the class of 1975. She then attended Western Illinois University before working for Illinois Bell.

In 1979, she married Jeff Peterson of Morris, and they had two children, Jeff and Justin. She married Daniel Misener in 1985, and they lived in Channahon, IL for three years. In 1989, she and Dan relocated to Seneca. Patti and Dan opened River Drive Storage in 1993. She was an avid reader, longtime member of the Seneca Public Library, and animal rescuer. In 2015, they sold River Drive Storage and moved to Marseilles.

Patti is survived by her children, Justin and Jeff Peterson; her stepdaughter, Holly (Art) Hanley; 11 grandchildren, Artur Hanley, Rose Gillespie, Thomas, Michael, Peter, Matthew, Mark, and Elizabeth Hanley, Jacob, Dalton, and Anna Misener; and 14 great-grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Judy (Bob) Goetsch; and numerous nephews and nieces.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Daniel; a step-son, Daniel Misener II; a brother-in-law, Ken Misener; a sister-in-law, Barb Misener; a grandson, John Hanley; and her parents.

Cremation rites have been accorded. She will be laid to rest beside her husband, Daniel, in Brookside Cemetery in Mazon, IL. Seals-Campbell Funeral in Marseilles has been entrusted with arrangements.
