Patricia Jean "Pat" Greer, 82, finished her earthly race and received her eternal prize on Saturday, July 6, 2019. A life-long resident and friend of the Marseilles community passed away peacefully, in the care of hospice, at her home surrounded by her family.

A celebration of life will be held at 12:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 10 at the Marseilles Church of the Nazarene with Pastor Bill Clark officiating. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Wednesday at the church prior to services. Private graveside services will be in Riverview Cemetery at a later time.

Pat was born August 14, 1936 to Fred and Irene (Smith) Stalker. In 1955, she married William Greer of Marseilles who survives.

She was a member of the Marseilles Church of the Nazarene. She was employed by Boling Insurance Agency as a secretary until her retirement.  Pat passionately loved her Lord, her family, her church, and her friends.

Pat is survived by her husband and best friend of 64 years, Bill; 3 children, Deb (Rick) Blodgett, Bill (Jan) Greer, and Cheri (Tim) Manning; 7 grandchildren, Jason (Nicole) and Nathan Blodgett, Joshua (Debbie), Joel (Rebecca), and Daniel (Carina) Greer, and Taylor and Blaine (Melanie) Manning; 14 great grandchildren, and her little dog, Buddy.

She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Florence Smith; and her parents, Fred Stalker, and Irene (Kermit) Hardin.

Her grandchildren will be pallbearers.

Memorials may be directed to the Marseilles Church of the Nazarene or OSF Hospice in Ottawa.
