Ofelia Vargas, 68, of Seneca, passed away Friday, February 4, 2022 at Aperion Care Center in Marseilles.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Arrangements have been entrusted to Seals-Campbell Funeral Home.

She was born January 11, 1954, in Mission, TX, to Jose Guadalupe and Romana Vargas.

She was employed by Cherry Land until her retirement as a cook. She also was a CNA and cared for many people. She enjoyed the outdoors, fishing and riding bikes. She was a good Christian woman who loved her family very much.

She is survived by her children, Jose Danny Gonzalez and Veronica Gonzalez; four grandchildren, Brianna Renee Gonazelez, and Crystall, Jose, and Frank Martinez; and her siblings, Ricardo (Eva) Vargas, Jose Guadalupe (Jacinta) Vargas, Jr., Benjamin (Margarita) Vargas, Pedro (Ninon Fabiola) Vargas, Adam (Angelina) Vargas, Maria Gloria (Gregorio+) Trevino, Bertha (Robert) Nava, Lesvia (Jessie) Rico, and Nelda (Jorge) Trevino; and numerous nieces, nephews, grandnephews, and grandnieces.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Manuel Vargas.
