Norman Paul Lair, 82, of Marseilles, passed away Tuesday, October 15, 2019 at OSF St. Elizabeth Medical Center.

Memorial visitation from 12:15 to 1 p.m. Sunday, October 20 at Parkview Baptist Church. Memorial services will be at 1 p.m. Sunday at the church with Reverend John Patterson officiating. Military honors by the Marseilles Honor Guard will follow services at the church. Seals-Campbell Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.

Norman was born July 5, 1937 in Macoupin County, to Paul E. and Grace E. (Qualls) Lair.

He was a member of Parkview Baptist Church in Marseilles. He served in the Army. Norman was employed by Caterpillar in Aurora in security until his retirement. After he retired he enjoyed working at the LaSalle Fish Hatchery south of Marseilles. He loved wildlife, working around his house, and his little dog Doxie.

Norman is survived by two daughters, Kathy Swanson and Kristal Lair both of Virginia; one son, Kenny Lair of Ottawa; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and one brother, Lynn (Sandra) Lair of Chatham.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Nancy; one grandson, Thomas Riegel; and a son-in-law, Thomas Swanson.

Memorials may be given to the American Alzheimer's Association.
