Mary Virginia Thompson, 94, of Marseilles, passed away Sunday, March 11, 2018 at Aperion Care in Marseilles.

Memorial services will be at 7 p.m. Thursday, March 15, at Seals-Campbell Funeral Home with Rev. Kihwan Choi of the Marseilles United Methodist Church officiating. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Oak Lawn Cemetery in Dwight at a later date.

Mary was born on December 15, 1923, in Dwight, to Louis A., Sr. and Hilda V. (Hansen) Duay. On March 4, 1951, she married Harry B. Thompson of Marseilles, who passed away in 1980.

She was a member of the Marseilles United Methodist Church in Marseilles and a member of the Golden Era which she was secretary for many years.

Mary is survived by one daughter, Heidy (Dennis) Eisert of Ottawa; one son, Lonny (Debra) Thompson of Marseilles; three grandchildren, Nicole (Jason) Sole, Jordan Thompson, Charlie (Emily) Eisert; two great-granddaughters, Paisley and Guthrie Eisert; and two sisters, Lorraine Tyrrell and Jean Hansen, both of Morris.

She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; and one brother, Louis A. Duay, Jr.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family.
