Mary A. Johnson, 89, of Marseilles, passed away on Wednesday, November 23, 2022, at Arcadia Care in Morris.

Private graveside services will be held at Nichol Cemetery in Marseilles with Rev. Duane Kaufman officiating. Arrangements were entrusted to Seals-Campbell Funeral Home.

She was born on August 29, 1933, in Marseilles, to Frank and Pearl (Olson) Hogue. She graduated from Seneca High School. On August 31, 1958, she married Clarence Johnson of Marseilles, who preceded her in death in 2012.

She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Marseilles. Mary was employed at Nabisco in Marseilles, as well as other places. She had a quilt and sewing business at home, and she was a member of Quilting Guild and Women's Club.

She is survived by her son, Jim (Barb) Johnson; one stepson, Robert Johnson; three grandsons, Dusten (Laura) Wilson, Chad (Kasey) Wilson, and James Tanner Johnson; one granddaughter, Rebecca (BJ) Edge; ten great-grandchildren; one brother, Jim Hogue; one great-grand pup, Troooper.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Clarence; three siblings, Frances Chapman, Betty Wilson, and Fred Hogue; two nieces, Becky and Cathy; and her brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.
