Margaret P. "Peggy" Addis, 85, of Marseilles, passed away on Wednesday, December 31, 2025, at LaSalle County Nursing Home.

A private Mass of Christian Burial was held at St. Joseph's Catholic Church with Fr. Ryan Mattingly officiating. Burial was in Riverview Cemetery in Marseilles. Seals-Campbell Funeral was entrusted with arrangements.

Peggy was born on January 18, 1940, in Marseilles, to Thomas and Margaret (Murphy) Redshaw. In 1963, she married Ralph Addis of Marseilles, who preceded her in death in 1997.

She was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Marseilles. Peggy loved doing crossword puzzles, word searches, and reading Danielle Steele books. She enjoyed her Friday style shows at Weeta's Boutique with her friends (she was a little bit of a fashionista). Most of all, she was a caregiver to many: her grandchildren, great-nieces, and great-nephews: she never said no.

She is survived by her son, Shawn Addis; one daughter-in-law, Lynn Addis; four grandchildren, Ty, Madison, Bailey, and Jillian Addis; one great-grandchild, Addisyn; two sisters, Helen Barlage and Wilma LaCroix; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph; one son, Todd; her siblings, Thomas Redshaw, Maxine Cobler, Janet Scutt, and John Redshaw in infancy.
