Lynn Marie Hobbs, 74, of Seneca, passed away Friday, September 20, 2024, at her home.

Visitation will be held from 2 to 6 p.m. Saturday, September 28, 2024, at Seals-Campbell Funeral Home in Marseilles. A Celebration of Life will follow at 6 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.

She was born on October 11, 1949, in Chicago, to Nicholas and Rebecca (Spencer) DiBennardi. On June 25, 1977, she married Larry Hobbs of Wilmington who survives.

Lynn was employed as a teacher by Seneca Grade School until her retirement. She served as the president of the Seneca Public Library Board and was the former director of the Seneca Food Pantry. Lynn loved to read and spend time with her grandchildren, and she was always the life of the party.

She is survived by her husband, Larry; three children, Emily (Roman) Tapia, Ashley (Mike) Filipiak, and Seth (Kristin) Hobbs; six grandchildren, Joey and Gia DiGiacomo, Gisele Tapia, Maisie and Will Filipiak, and Everett Hobbs; two sisters; and two brothers.

She was preceded in death by her parents.
