Lloyd P. Godwin, 87, of Marseilles, passed away Thursday, February 9, 2017 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria.
A celebration of life and a potluck will be held 12 noon Sunday, February 26, at the Marseilles First Church of God with Rev. Brian Hefner officiating.
Lloyd was born February 19, 1929 in Ottawa, IL to Earl and Hazel (Callahan) Godwin. In 1948, he married Edna Elliott of Marseilles, who preceded him in death in 2003.
He was a member of the Marseilles First Church of God. He was employed by Nabisco until his retirement.
Lloyd is survived by two daughters, Pamela Goldman of Texas and Paula Willoughby of Marseilles; four grandchildren, Cassandra Ward, and Daniel, Rachel, and Elizabeth Willoughby; six great-grandchildren; and one sister, Carol Mussatto of Marseilles.
He was preceded in death by his wife; two brothers, Ernest and Burdett Godwin; and one granddaughter, Alesha.
Memorials may be directed to the Marseilles First Church of God.
