Melissa "Lissie" Elliott Lowe, 98, of Seneca, passed away Thursday, July 26, 2018 at her home.

Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. Sunday, July 29, at Seals-Campbell Funeral Home in Marseilles with Rev. Duane Kaufman officiating. Visitation will be from 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery in Marseilles.

Lissie was born on September 4, 1919, to James "Frank" and Ider (Osborne) Elliott. On August 19, 1958, she married Edward "Ed" Lowe of Marseilles who preceded her in death in 2003.

She grew up in Marseilles and worked at Nabisco. She devoted her life to her family and was known for her caring ways and always taking the time to listen. Her family meant everything to her. During her and Ed's retirement years, they moved to Tomahawk, WI, where they enjoyed their cabin along a lake. Lissie enjoyed cooking, visiting with friends and relatives, and hiking to pick berries in the woods.

Lissie and Ed moved to Seneca about 25 years ago to be nearer to family. Throughout the years, she was a daughter, wife, sister, aunt, friend, and a mother figure to many. She will be sadly missed by her family.

She is survived by one brother, Clifford (Lucia) H. Elliott and many nieces and nephews.

Lissie was preceded in death by husband Ed; three brothers, Claudie, Donald "Millard", and Fonzie "Lee" Elliott; and three sisters, Rosie Elliott, Lettie Gabehart, and Maggie "Dee" Waldron.

Pallbearers will be Paul Smith, Paul Torchia, David Elliott, Clifford Elliott Jr., James Elliott, and David Farmer.
