Lester W. "Billy" Cox, Jr., 72, of Ottawa, formerly of Marseilles, passed away Friday, February 7, 2020 at his home.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, February 11 at Seals-Campbell Funeral Home with Rev. Brian Hefner of First Church of God officiating.  Visitation will be Monday from 5 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.  Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery in Marseilles.

Billy was born April 14, 1947 in Ottawa to Lester Sr. and Bonnie (Campbell) Cox.  In 1983, he married Christina Schenk of Toledo, Ohio, who survives.

He attended the First Church of God of Marseilles.  He served in the Navy in Vietnam from 1968-1971.  He graduated from Marseilles High School in 1967.  He owned and operated Cox Construction until his retirement.

Billy is survived by his wife, Christina and a sister, Carolyn Sue (Larry) Gates of Marseilles.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Lester Sr. and Bonnie Cox.

Memorials may be given to Wounded Warrior Project.

Pallbearers will be his nephews, Leslie and Randy Patton, Dean Gumm. Mike Obremski, Tim Wig, and Josh Burzynski.
