Leo M. Ingmanson, 80, of Marseilles, passed away Thursday, September 14, 2017 at his home.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, September 18, at Seals-Campbell with Reverend Duane Kaufman officiating. Visitation will be from 3 to 6 p.m. on Sunday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery in Marseilles.
Leo was born April 21, 1937 in Ottawa, to Paul M. and Mildred J. (Ream) Ingmanson. In 1957, he married Rita Youmans of Marseilles who survives.
He was a graduate of Marseilles High School and attended Illinois Valley Community College. He was employed by GE Plastics until his retirement. Leo served on the Marseilles Recreation Board, coached Little League, was Cub Master of Pack 99, and was on the Main Street & More Committee. He was an avid family and local historian.
Leo is survived by his wife, Rita; one daughter, Lori (Chris) McCarter of Ottawa; two sons, Kris (Carol) of Berwyn and Kip of Shorewood; five grandchildren, Samantha (Jack) Baker, John Ingmanson, Emily Ingmanson, Luke Ingmanson, and Corinne McCarter; one great-granddaughter, Olivia Baker; and one sister, Carol (Louis) Macchietto of Marseilles.
He was preceded in death by a grandson, Ryan C. Meyer and one sister, Joan Page.
