Laura Louise Cook, 85, of Marseilles, passed away on September 13, 2023, at Lightways Hospice in Joliet.

As per Laura's request, no funeral or memorial service will be held. Seals-Campbell Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements.

She was born on October 31, 1937, in Morris, to Truman and Marjorie (Brooks) Hauge. She married Wes Cook of Channahon, who preceded her in death in 1990.

Laura enjoyed traveling, reading, decorating, gardening, and was a wonderful artist. She had a love for music with some of her favorite being Carol King, Tracy Chapman, and Pink Floyd. Laura was a wonderful mother, who always was there when her family needed her. She will be missed greatly.

She is survived by her children, Wes Cook, Jr, Chandy (Tony) McGill, Brenda Cook, and Kelly (Kevin Woodson) Cook; her grandchildren, Wes III, Brittany, and Dustin Cook, Jason (Chrisy) McGill, Brandy (Justin Price) Nagle, Jarod (Marcie) and Brad McGill, Blaine (Christina) McGill, Ryan (Maddie) Cook, and Taylor Cook; her great-grandchildren, Kirsten McGill, Samantha McGill, Christopher Haynes, Kali Petro, Brandon and Justan Nagle, Kenslee Price, Madison, Maddox , Jace, Owen, and Peyton McGill, Gaven, Maddox, and Declan Tillman, Ivy and Violet Cook; and her great-great grandson, Anthony Nagle.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Wes; and her precious son, Eric Wadsworth.
