Larry C. Grieves, 74, of Ottawa, passed away Saturday, August 21, 2021 at his home.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Seals-Campbell Funeral Home is handling the arrangements. Burial will be in Oakwood Memorial Park with military honors.

He was born April 23, 1947, in Ottawa, to Christopher William and Shirley Lucile (Westcott) Grieves.  On October 25, 1969, he married Sherry Lee Lewis of Seneca who preceded him in death in 2017.

He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He owned and operated LaSalle County Roofing, was employed by Commonwealth Edison, and delivered newspapers for the local rural area. Larry enjoyed bingo, karaoke, and cutting grass.

He is survived by his children, Scott Patrick (Tiffany Oelschlager) Grieves of Seneca, Victoria Grieves of Seneca, Melissa Lewis of Marseilles; four grandchildren, Adrian, Christopher, and Chloe Grieves, and Shane Larsen; one great-granddaughter, Alexa; and his siblings, Timothy (Marsha) Grieves, Dale (Carol) Grieves, and Margie Grieves.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Sherry; two sons, Christopher and Justin Grieves; one grandson, Robert Grieves; and his siblings, Christine, Ron, and Pat Grieves.
