Kenneth Dale Thompson, 68, of Marseilles, passed away Sunday, May 28, 2023 at his home.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday, June 5 at Seals-Campbell Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home with Rev. Kris Zierke officiating. Burial will be in Section Cemetery.

He was born March 1, 1955, in Ottawa, to Eugene Kenneth and Rita Alice (VanDorn) Thompson. On August 21, 1977, he married Janet Sue Crouse of Seneca who preceded him in death in 2020.

Ken was a member of the Stavanger Lutheran Church and the Sons of the American Legion. He farmed in Miller Township for over 40 years until his retirement in 2019. He served on many boards, including the Marseilles Fire Protection, the Miller Township, and Miller Township Zoning.

He is survived by his children, Erik (Janet) Thompson of Seneca, Lisa Thompson of Ottawa, and Adam Thompson of Marseilles; two grandchildren, Brody and Elly Thompson; one sister, Catherine (Terry) Grubar of Mackinaw, IL; and his step-mother, Marian Thompson of Marseilles.

Ken was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Janet.
