Kathleen Elizabeth Olsen

Kathleen Elizabeth Olsen, 77, of Seneca, passed away on Monday, June 22, 2026, at her home surrounded by her family.

Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Friday, June 26 at Seals-Campbell Funeral Home. Private funeral services for immediate family will follow at the funeral home with Pastor Pat Ugolini of the Village Church of Seneca officiating. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery in Seneca.

Kathi was born on April 18, 1949, in Ottawa, IL, to Raymond and Margaret (Rivett) Johnson. In 1979, she married Eugene Olsen of Seneca who survives.

She ran the CASPER after school program in Seneca. She was also the secretary for Seneca Methodist Church for many years.

Kathi is survived by her loving husband of 46 years, Gene; her four daughters, Michelle (Jimmy) Goings of Georgetown, SC, Julie Riewaldt Truesdale of Tonica, IL, Paula (Jason) Grieves of Ottawa, IL, and Amy (Luis) Jimenez of Ottawa, IL; ten grandchildren, Sara and Emalee Benckendorf, Doug (Cassi) Johnson, Amanda (Matthew) Moore, Tommy (Amanda) Aukland, Collin (Kami) Aukland, Preston Aukland, Jade (Josh Musall) Jimenez-Musall, Maera and Gwen Jimenez; nine great-grandchildren, Malachi, Tyler, Marlee, Adaleigh, William, Silas, Judah, Natalie, and Brynleigh; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her mother-in-law and father-in-law, Jim and Mabel Olsen; and her nephews, Buck Bogren and Randy Olsen.

Pallbearers will be Doug Johnson, Collin and Preston Aukland, Luis Jimenez III, Jason Grieves, and Matthew Moore.
