Katelynn Elizabeth Ortiz, 21, of Seneca, passed away October 23, 2019 at Joliet Area Hospice Home.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, October 28 at St. Patrick's Catholic Church with Fr. Ghislain Inai officiating. Visitation will be from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday at Seals-Campbell Funeral Home with a prayer service at 6 p.m. Burial will be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Seneca.

Katelynn was born July 17, 1998, in Highland Falls, NY to Raymond and Taryn (O'Brien) Ortiz. She attended Seneca High School where she was active in track and field and the cross country teams.

She is survived by her father, Raymond (Wanda) Ortiz of Kentucky; her mother, Taryn (William) Myre of Seneca; two brothers, Tyler Ortiz and Brandon Myre; two sisters, Mirayly Ortiz and Brittany Myre; grandparents, James and Cheryl O'Brien and Ramon and Carmen Ortiz; aunts, Patricia (David) Murray, Jennifer (Luke) Hoyt, Diana (Dion) Nary, and Raquel (Arnett Comegys, Jr.) Ortiz; and several cousins.

Memorials may be given to the family.

Pallbearers will be Raymond and Tyler Ortiz, Brandon Myre, David Murry, Luke Hoyt, and Christopher Hetelle.
