Julanne Kay Davis, 82, of Marseilles, passed away peacefully on Friday, May 9, 2025, at home with her family by her side.
Visitation will be from 9 to 10:30 a.m. Tuesday May 13, at Seals-Campbell Funeral Home in Marseilles. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Joseph's Catholic Church with Fr. Ryan Mattingly officiating. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery in Marseilles.
Julie was born on September 24, 1942, in Ottawa, IL. She was the daughter of Frank and Frances (Erickson) Frackowiak. Julie married Robert Davis on October 6, 1959, in Marseilles, IL. They have been married for 65 years.
Julie graduated magna cum laude with an Associate of Arts degree from IVCC. She spent the majority of her working career with Nabisco, Federal Paper Board, and Field Container. She began her career as a clerk and became the Human Resource Manager.
Julie enjoyed reading, playing cards, working on family genealogy, and traveling. She spent a year living in England and enjoyed spending the winter at her home in Florida. Most of all she enjoyed family gatherings with Christmas being her favorite.
Julie was a lifelong member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church and served on the Marseilles Library Board for many years.
She is survived by husband, Robert; her children, Dianna (Steve) Newcomer, Ronald Davis, and Laura (Robert) Williamson; her grandchildren, Bridgette (Jeremy) Mugge, Melanie (Tony) Ewalt, Michelle (Andy) Dunham, Andrew (Kara) Davis, William (Claudia) Davis, Nick Williamson, Aubrey (Matt) Cavallini, and Joel Davis; 13 great-grandchildren, one brother-in-law, Pat Farrell; and many nieces and nephews.
Julie was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Jane Farrell, her brother, Fred Frackowiak, her sister-in-law, Gert Frackowiak; and her grandson, Christian Davis.
The family would like to thank OSF Hospice for their excellent care and support.
Memorials may be directed to the Marseilles Public Library.
Julie will be most remembered for her love for her family. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She will be dearly missed.
