Judith R. Brown, 73, of Marseilles, passed away on August 10, 2022 at her home.

Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Wednesday August 24 at Seals-Campbell Funeral Home. A celebration of Judy's life will follow at 6 p.m. at the funeral home with Rev. Duane Kaufman officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Memorial Park in Ottawa at a later date.

She was born on March 18, 1949, in Ottawa, to Carl and Jane (Applebee) Wise. On March 18, 2016 she married Ernest Brown of Marseilles who preceded her in death in 2017.

Judy worked as a waitress and enjoyed serving her customers. She loved her animals and cooking for people.

She is survived by her sister, Jeanne (Ron) Chismarick of Ottawa; a stepdaughter, Vicki Hurley of TX; two grandsons, Charlie and Eddie Whitney; and her uncle, Nate Applebee.

Judy was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest and her sister, Janet Steele.
