Juanita Vangelisti, 72, of Marseilles, passed away Thursday, September 29, 2022.

Funeral services will private at Seals-Campbell Funeral Home with Rev. Duane Kaufman officiating. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery in Marseilles.

She was born January 24, 1950, in Ottawa, to James and Allene (Bright) Arnold. On February 20, 1970, she married James Vangelisti of Marseilles who survives.

Nita had been employed by Nabisco and later by Rivershores until her retirement. She was a member of the Marseilles Lioness Club, the sewing club, and active in the Marseilles Youth Program.

She is survived by her husband, Jim; children, Rodney (Denise), Darcy (Daniel) Rub, and Jimmy (Janet Oneby), all of Marseilles; nine grandchildren, Justin, Nicole and Cassie Vangelisti, Serena Rogers, Spencer Armstrong, Thea, Olivia, Joseph, and Lucy Vangelisti; eight great-grandchildren, Landon, Aubrey, Aria, Jemma, Hayzleigh, Jace, Lennox, and Amelia; and her sisters, Charlotte Caputo and Linda Worsley.

Nita was preceded in death by her parents, and two grandchildren, Megan and Tommi Vangelisti.

Pallbearers will be Jimmy, Rodney, Justin, and Joseph Vangelisti, Dan Rub, and Spencer Armstrong.
