Joyce E. Seibert's Obituary
Joyce E. Seibert, 86, of Marseilles, passed away Saturday, December 31, 2022, at LaSalle County Nursing Home.
Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Wednesday, January 4, 2023, at Seals-Campbell Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 6 p.m. with Rev. Duane Kaufman officiating. A private burial will be in Riverview Cemetery in Marseilles at a later date.
Joyce was born on November 6, 1936, in Marseilles to Preston and Irene (Harden) LeRette. In 1957, she married William G. Seibert of Ottawa, who preceded her in death in 2014.
Joyce was employed by Rivershores Nursing Home in Marseilles for over 30 years until her retirement. She loved her job as a CNA and Activities Aide caring for and working with many residents over the years. Joyce was a very motherly person. She helped raise her sister, children, and three of her grandchildren. She was a very kind, caring person. She was very proud of being a twin. Joyce and Agnes loved attending twin conventions and won multiple awards. She loved taking trips anytime she could; whenever she heard someone was taking a trip she would always joke saying "pack me in your suitcase". One of her favorite places to go was to Linda and Corky's cabin in Wisconsin.
Joyce is survived by one daughter, Irene Hickey of New Orleans, LA; two sons, David (Tammie) of Grand Ridge, FL, and Eric of Texas; six grandchildren, Carson (Chelsey) Seibert, Amber (Adam) Petty, Chris (Ashley) Degner, Harley and Bradley Seibert, and LaRita (Dusti) Folwell; and eight great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one granddaughter, Catrina Wilkie, her twin, Agnes Rosales-Dubach, and her sister, Linda Johnson.
In lieu of flowers, please consider a memorial donation to the family to be divided between the charities of their choice.
Pallbearers will be family members.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Heritage Woods and the LaSalle County Nursing Home for their wonderful care.
