Helen Joyce Carter, 90, of Marseilles, passed away Saturday, November 17, 2018 at Presence St. Joseph Medical Center in Joliet.

Services will be private with burial in Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood, IL. Seals-Campbell Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.

Joyce was born on November 21, 1927 in Keokuk County, Iowa, to Faye and Helen Lorena (McLin) Shultz. In 1948, she married Robert Carter who preceded her in death in 2003.

She was a member of the Marseilles American Legion Auxiliary and the Marseilles Lioness Club.

Joyce is survived by a son, Mark (Laura) Carter of Plainfield; and one granddaughter, Diana Briggs of Iowa.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert.

Memorials may be given to the Marseilles American Legion Auxiliary.
