Janet Sue Thompson, 62, of Marseilles, passed away Monday, December 7, 2020 at Pleasant View Lutheran Home.

Funeral services will be private at Seals-Campbell Funeral Home with Rev. Phil Peterson of the Stavanger Lutheran Church officiating. Burial will be in Section Cemetery.

She was born April 4, 1958, in Tuscola, to Maynard and Thelma (Clark) Crouse. On August 21, 1977, she married Kenneth Thompson of Marseilles who survives.

Janet was a member of the Stavanger Lutheran Church. She was employed by Launius Reporting Service for over forty years. She was also a member of the Marseilles American Legion Auxiliary Post #235. Janet enjoyed playing bingo.

She is survived by her husband Kenneth; her father, Maynard of Seneca; three children, Erik (Janet) Thompson of Seneca, Lisa Thompson of Ottawa, and Adam Thompson of Marseilles; two grandchildren, Brody and Elly Thompson; siblings, Peggy (Ed) Chase of McHenry, David Crouse of Morris, and Danny (Jenifer) Crouse of Moline.

She was preceded in death by her mother and one sister, Teresa.

Pallbearers will be Erik and Adam Thompson, Ed Chase, Dan Crouse, David Crouse, and Donald Heimer.
