Janet L. Heermann, 75, of Marseilles, passed away Friday, October 12, 2018, at Aperion Care Center.

Funeral services will be private at Seals-Campbell Funeral Home with Pastor John Patterson of Parkview Baptist Church officiating. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery.

She was born July 30, 1943, in Ottawa, to James and Edith (Wheeler) Cobler. In 1980, she married James Heermann of Ottawa, who preceded her in death in 1996.

Janet attended Parkview Baptist Church in Marseilles. She had been employed by Johnny's, Pleasant View, and Heritage Woods.

She is survived by her son, James (Angie) Theissen of Marseilles; two grandsons, Jacob (Cassie Cruise) and Andrew Theissen; one sister, Karen (Bob) Murley of Ottawa; two nephews, Jason and Jared (Sadie) Murley; one niece, Jody (Andy) Harris; great-nieces and a great-nephew.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.

Memorials may be directed to Parkview Baptist Church or the charity of the donor's choice.
