James Patrick Shanahan Jr., 63, of Seneca, passed away Saturday March 24, 2018 at Morris Hospital.

Memorial services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday April 3, at Parkview Baptist Church in Marseilles with Reverend John Patterson officiating.  Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Tuesday at the church.  Seals-Campbell Funeral Home in Marseilles is handling the arrangements.

James was born February 6, 1955 in Chicago to James Patrick Sr. and Bernice (Klotz) Shanahan.  In 1985, he married Loretta Baker of Fremont, CA, who survives.

He was a member of Parkview Baptist Church.  He was an avid NASCAR fan with Jimmy Johnson as his favorite.  He was a fan of the Oakland A's and Raiders.

James is survived by his wife, Loretta; his dog, Timo; his cat, Tuula; a sister, Linda of Wisc.; and two brothers, Joe (Deb) Lowe of Mich. and Michael (Melanie) McEvoy of Utah.

He was preceded in death by his mother and three sisters, Sue, Kathy and JoAnn.

Memorials may be given to the National Kidney Foundation.
