Jacqueline Marie Simon Owens, age 66, of Marseilles, IL passed away on January 13, 2026.

She was born on May 2, 1959 in Norfolk, VA. She attended Louis Pasteur Grammar School and Hubbard High School. Jackie spent her life with a love of music, the outdoors, and her family.

She was a devoted daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, and friend to many. She was known for her delicious cooking, her love of the Chicago Bears and Cubs, silly jokes, and tie-dye shirts. She especially loved spending time with her grandchildren, being with her friends that she called family, and snuggling with her sweet dog, Layla.

She is survived by her children, Michael Skocz, Lisa (Marcus) Marin, and Robert (Ashley) Owens II; her grandchildren, Cali, Marlee, Eli, Scarlet, Eleanor, Lucas and Maxwell; three brothers, George (Theresa) Simon, Nikolas (Wanda) Simon, and William (Kathleen) Simon; and her nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father, George Simon Jr. and her mother, Victoria Mescha.

A celebration of life will be held from 12-5 p.m. on Saturday, February 7th at the Tom E Hartung American Legion Post # 1977, 14414 Ford Dr., New Lenox, IL 60451, with a remembrance ceremony to start at 3 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family to help cover expenses.

Her smile, laugh, and loving touch will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
